Intro

We partnered with Swiss Mountain Rescue to improve their email marketing using Klaviyo, addressing key challenges in deliverability and engagement. The brand’s email performance had been impacted by a low deliverability score caused by high unsubscribe rates, low open rates, and poor click-through rates. Our approach combined strategic planning, creative design, and technical execution to build high-impact campaigns and automated flows that strengthened communication and engagement. We focused on re-engaging the existing database, segmenting audiences for relevance, and creating compelling email content that balanced information and calls-to-action. Over three months, these efforts transformed Swiss Mountain Rescue’s email ecosystem into a more reliable and engaging channel, delivering measurable improvements across key metrics. - Open rates improved to 54.7%, up from 30% - Click-through rates increased to 1.10%, up from 0.43% - Unsubscribe rates decreased to 1.3%, down from 3.37% - Automated email flows consistently achieved above 44% open rates with an average click rate of 2.5% These improvements not only revitalised email engagement but also provided a stronger platform to communicate updates, promotions, and support returning customers effectively.
